𓇼 Magda Gourinchas is a French-American new media artist, designer, and director working at the intersection of analog and contemporary technologies in creative direction, design, animation, VR/AR, and all things moving image. She has collaborated with clients across music, entertainment, interactive education, research, and tech industries.
In her personal practice, Magda explores the ways our digital identities are captured, shared, archived, and ultimately forgotten online 𖦹
Magda is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Interaction Design at the Zurich University of the Arts, one of Europe’s leading art and design institutions and a hub for experimental design discourse.
Magda also holds an honors degree in Fine Arts with a concentration on Electronic Time-Based Media, along with double minors in Animation & Special Effects and Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University —— ranked #1 in Time-Based and New Media Arts and #2 in Fine Arts programs in the United States.
Outside of her practice, Magda enjoys hosting themed dinner parties, knitting, blogging, making spreadsheets and archives on just about anything, collecting spirals, and building audio-reactive visual rigs for live sets/shows in her community.
