A photographic series that reimagines data as a hallucinogen.

In each image, the familiar LSD tab, a psychedelic drug popular since the 1960s, is replaced by an SD card. The SD card acts as a post-Internet readymade, a tool of digital storage largely used in cameras and recording devices, that now stands as a vessel for memory itself. This symbolic substitution repositions the language of psychedelia within the vocabulary of data, suggesting that our relationship to information has become a new form of ingestion and ultimate dependency.

I also find myself reflecting on a generational condition shaped by constant “content consumption”. Between social media feeds, streaming platforms, and algorithmic loops, content has become both our stimulant and escape — mirroring the role and usage of psychedelics as both expansion and evasion. In an age of endless input, our ingestion of information begins to resemble the ritual of taking a tab: addictive, numbing, and increasingly ineffective. Over time, we build tolerance to stimulation itself, chasing higher doses of novelty and shock factor as our collective dopamine receptors fry out in the process…
